The DKV Study Program, FSRD ISI Surakarta Welcomed a Student Visit from SMKN I Cerme Gresik, East Java
The group was welcomed and held in the TV Production Laboratory Room, Building IV, FSRD, Campus 2 of ISI Surakarta in Mojosongo, this was interesting and interactive. Ahmad Fajar Ariyanto, S.Sn., M.Sn, Vice Dean III of FSRD ISI Surakarta opened the activity by explaining in general the technical aspects of accepting new students at ISI Surakarta. Among them are the SNBP, SNBT, and Independent.The student group consisting of 68 male and female students and 10 accompanying teachers from SMK Negeri I Cerme, Gresik, East Java visited the Visual Communication Design Study Program FSRD ISI Surakarta on Tuesday (26/9) morning, where students and teachers gained various insights about visual communication design, starting with the screening of the profile video of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) ISI Surakarta to teachers and students, then continued with the main event with an explanation about the things of studying at DKV ISI Surakarta.
Next, the representative of SMK Negeri 1 Cerme, Didik Ahmadi also gave a speech about the purpose and objectives of their visit to DKV ISI Surakarta. Didik hopes that during this visit, students will gain more knowledge and insight about art, especially visual communication design. Afterwards, the event continued with the handover of souvenirs which was then continued with a group photo.
The main event of this visit was directly delivered by the Head of DKV Study Program ISI Surakarta, Rendya Adi Kurniawan, S.Sn., M.Sn with a topic that began with the definition of DKV and its scope and encouragement. Furthermore, Rendya also conveyed various achievements obtained by students and activities supporting creativity in the DKV Study Program ISI Surakarta.
According to one of the 12th-grade students of the DKV Department, Zahrotul Mukti Faizah explained that this visit gave a broader picture of the field of visual communication design and its development.
In the last session, before the event was closed, students and teachers were invited to ask questions. One of the lucky students, Florentina, received a door prize in the form of a comic from the ISI Surakarta DKV study program for asking an interesting question.
Furthermore, Sutrisno as the accompanying teacher hoped that through the industrial visit designed for 2 (two) days, it would be able to open up insights about DKV in the future. In addition to the campus of ISI Surakarta, the visit will also be a JETE Jogyakarta T-shirt.
